Forms
Every website uses forms in some way, be it login forms, contact forms, or registration forms. Forms are an integral part of any website, enabling contact with your visitors and creating customer growth.
Contact Forms
Contact forms are usually very simple, with only a few questions. Generally the response is sent to your email, so you can reply directly to the visitor.
Application Forms
This class of form can be complicated. Imagine you want your visitors to be able to request a quote by giving you their specific needs. While this information could be submitted via a simple form, the visitor may forget some information or you may wish to have more advanced functionality.
What if your pricing structure is very specific but complicated. You could ask a series of questions (even broken up into multiple pages if needed), then provide the quote to the client based on their input. Or what if your quote requires human interaction, but there are several people at your company who make the decisions? The quote request could be stored in a database, and each employee would respond to their portion of the quote, with the final quote being sent to the visitor after the quote is complete.
But what if you don't need a quote form, what if you need to have the visitors fill out a complicated membership application or application for employment, but you have several people who process them? The submissions could be stored in a database, then your employees could process them as they can. The submissions could be filtered by particular fields, or accepted and rejected en masse. Certain fields could even be publicly browsable after being accepted, in the form of a members list.
Translation
Do you want to reach more international customers? Do you want to offer your website in a variety of languages? In the business, we call this internationalization and localization, and it is easy! All you do is provide the original language to your translator, who then fills in the new language.
Mobile Access
Are you reaching all of your visitors to the fullest extent? Does your website support mobile platforms? A full third of global internet users only access the internet via a mobile device, and most of these do not handle normal websites well. That's a lot of potential clients you could be reaching, if only they could acces your website.
Gallery
Everybody loves a good gallery. You love creating them, your visitors love browsing them. But wouldn't it be great if it was easier? If you could add new photos any time you want, or even allow your employees to post them for you? What if your visitors could even upload photos of your events (after you approve them, of course)?
Galleries don't just have to be photos either; they can also be videos, audio, or even cooking recipes or testimonials.
Banners
Just about every website has a banner now days. Sometimes these are in the form of advertisements for external services, sometimes to direct users to articles or other areas of your site. Banners can even be a way to add seasonal flair or an event advertisement, based on the current date.
